6-18-15 Processing and Understanding Activities for Middle Schoolers

I like your example for the note taking, but I'm curious about the understanding goal.  Most of my language goals revolve around T.II words, how would you implement your activity idea with words that are not as concrete like an apple or a pegasus unicorn (ex. abrasive, obedient)?
